Doctor Who celebrates its fiftieth anniversary this year and in celebration of this milestone, the BBC will be airing a number of special programmes. There’ll be TV drama, documentaries and radio shows, all marking half a century of Doctor Who!
The good Doctor first aired on November 23 1963, on BBC1 in the UK. The programme depicts the adventures of a Time Lord — a time-travelling humanoid alien. He explores the universe in his TARDIS (Time And Relative Dimension In Space), a sentient time-travelling space ship.
