Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion Launch Con Man Crowd Funding Campaign

Browncoats rejoice! Our favourite Captain and Pilot are returning to our screens! Well, sort of… Alan Tudyk and Nathan Fillion have just launched a new project on the crowdfunding site, Indiegogo. It’s called Con Man and it’s going to be glorious!

Con Man is about two stars from a fictional sci-fi series called Spectrum, that was cancelled, like our beloved Firefly, too soon! While Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion), has gone on to become a major movie star, enjoying the life of an A-lister, Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) tours the sci-fi circuit as a guest of conventions, comic book stores, and lots of pop culture events.

The series is a light-hearted take on the personalities, luminaries, and characters in the scifi community we are privileged to call ourselves members. Con Man is a way to share some of the surreal occurrences we have had, while telling the story of a guy learning to love and embrace his fans.

So far, Con Man has managed to raise over $1.7M. That’s 407% more than their original goal of $425,000. It’s been the quickest funded web series of all time on any crowdfunding platform and also the fastest series to get to $1million!

As well a Alan and Nathan, Con Man is also set to star some of our favourite sci-fi and geek stars like Seth Green, Felicia Day, James Gunn and Gina Torres.

To learn more about the campaign, watch the video below and then head over to indiegogo and support Con Man. There’s some fantastic, exclusive perks that you can get your hands on as well as that good feeling you’ll get, knowing that you’ve supported what is most likely going to be an hilarious series with some fantastic people.

You can also follow Con Man on Twitter and like the page on Facebook.

Oh, and they’ve released the first teaser for the show, which you can see below.
