The second trailer for Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron was released earlier today. The sequel to 2012’s smash hit The Avengers sees Earths Mightiest Heroes battling arguably one of their toughest foes ever, the villainous Ultron.
Originally created by Dr. Henry Pym (the original Ant-Man) in the comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe version of Ultron (James Spader), however, is the creation of Tony Stark whilst trying to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program. This time around, our heroes also meet two powerful newcomers, brother and sister combination of Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). They also meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany (J.A.R.V.I.S.) becomes Vision.
Written and Directed by Joss Whedon, Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), along with Chris Evans (Captain America), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) and Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye). They’re joined once again by Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury) and Cobie Smulders (Agent Maria Hill).
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1, 2015 in the US, April 24 in the UK and April 23 in Australia and New Zealand.
